Mentoring
Mentoring offers young women the opportunity to channel their aspirations toward positive change for themselves and those around them. With the support of our staff, transformations are taking place every day and new voices are heard.
Sponsorship
Thanks to our Sponsors and Partners, young women from diverse backgrounds are discovering new opportunities and forging new paths. We are often moved by heartwarming feedback from women who have benefited from this initiative and gone on to achieve great things.
Community Outreach
Our involvement within the local community continues to transform the day-to-day lives of young women.
Many participants go on to get involved with our other programs as well as outside initiatives, creating an empowering chain of women helping women.
Education
Our far-reaching Education program is making strides and changing lives. Over and over again, this ambitious project has proven itself to be a powerful force for good, producing results that inspire and encourage everyone involved.
Local Advocacy
Our team of dedicated volunteers makes the Girl Takes On the World™ program possible, investing their valuable time and energy to brighten the futures of so many young women. SIS advocates understand the importance of young women who rise above adversities, reshape their narratives, and become leaders in their communities and beyond.
Counseling
We're improving life for young women in the Hampton Roads community and beyond with our compassionate and well-rounded team of professionals and resources. We're proud to accompany them on their unique journeys as they move towards better, richer, and more fulfilled lives.

Teen Youth Programs
and Youth Development Through Community
Teen youth programs are vital to the lives of teenagers because they give them chances to develop their skills, grow as individuals, and get involved in the community. In order to support teenagers in overcoming the obstacles of puberty & getting ready for a prosperous future, these programs are tailored to meet their specific needs & interests.
Our Sisters in Service programs offer a nurturing setting in which adolescents can discover & develop their skills, passions, and aptitudes, ultimately enhancing their self-assurance and admiration.
Our team acknowledges the value of leadership development and give young women a place to practice these abilities.
These programs equip the youth to become capable leaders by providing them with mentorship opportunities, group projects, & team-building exercises.
Through our initiatives and mentorship opportunities, we focus on various aspects of personal growth and development, including financial literacy, college readiness, health and wellness, and civic engagement.

While our program focuses primarily on middle and high school girls, participation in programming is not prohibited on the grounds of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other association.
